Steven Cash Awarded With ESPN ESPY June 14, 2010
Steven Cash was awarded with ESPN ESPY award last night, June 14, 2010 in the category "Best Male Athlete with a Disability."
Cash walked the red carpet in the 18th year of the ESPY Awards Ceremony last night, an evening dedicated to commemorate the most exciting moments, greatest achievement and top performances in athletics around the world. Cash was one of five Vancouver Parlympians nominated for an ESPN ESPY award.
Most recently, Cash brought home the Gold from the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics after a five game shut out in Sled Hockey. Cash serves as Team USA's Sled Hockey goalie.
Cash is currently an UMSL student and is doing a summer internship in Midland, Michigan. Cash was introduced to sled hockey by DASA sled hockey coach, Mike Dowling. He had played with DASA's sled hockey team until being recruited to Team USA.
