United Access Helping Through The Buying Process
Accessing Needs, Selecting A Wheelchair Van, Exceeding Expectations
Dear Mr. Venhaus:
I've been meaning to write this letter for sometime; but better late than never. Last Fall I purchased a used wheelchair van from your Columbia, MO location. This letter is to inform you of the wonderful service I received from beginning to end. Kevin Landeck has been fabulous to deal with in every aspect of his business. Please allow me to elaborate.
For years now, I was seeing Kevin for repairs to my old 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan handicap accessible van. I was using a standard push forward / push down hand control. I off-handedly mentioned shoulder pain in my left shoulder to Kevin one day. He mentioned the root cause could be my hand controls. Several months down the road, he contacted me because he had a used handicap van with reduced effort gas and brake. We made the deal, and I was anxious to purchase and begin using my new van.
Kevin suggested I contact DVR for assistance with funding. He worked with me and patiently waited while I dealt with the application bureaucracy including formal handicap driver training. I also had medical issues slowing the process. Sure enough however, I received funding assistance for the wheelchair van thanks to his help.
Lastly, equipping the van specifically for me and my wheelchair took many attempts and adjustments as I got used to an entirely new method of driving. Through it all, Kevin and his service associate Bobby were just wonderful to work with. I myself was getting sick of the number of adjustments I required, but they kept tweaking away for me all the while keeping their great personalities. This wonderful service has continued for recent minor repairs and adjustments.
Please be aware of the great operation Kevin is running in Columbia, Missouri. Also know that every time I'm approached by strangers in parking lots inquiring about my lift, I'm very quick to refer United Access and Kevin. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Brent Y.
