I would like to Thank the wonderful and helpful people at the Garland, Texas location for all the great information and care we were shown during a stressful time. Sam took a number of phone calls and answered questions that eased us into the purchase of the perfect van for my husbands needed. He is an ALS patient with special needs in his transportation and Sam is the perfect person in her understanding of his condition. We WILL and HAVE told people if they are in need of a mobility specialist to go to United Access in Garland for all their needs.

I have given serious thought about writing to you. After the week I had last week and with my wife prodding me here I sit. I will do my best to make this short as I know you are very busy man. I am in a wheelchair due to md. My story starts with my encounter with your company then my second, third, fourth encounter all in a weeks time. Last Tuesday I attended a transition fair in Monett MO. I met the general manager from your springfield mo store. Alice gave me information on the truck conversion. She answered all my questions and was very polite. Second encounter was the next night at the MDA kick off. To my surprise Alice was in attendance and United Access has a team of 10 walkers. We visited for some time and she invited me to the store to look at the truck conversion we talked about earlier. I am a veteran and belong to the VFW in Joplin MO. Alice suggested I speak to the VA and in the course of talking said she was going to the VA in KC Thursday morning. I told her a friend of mine Daniel Six got his truck conversion through the va in kc. At our meeting Thursday night we usually have a guest speaker. I was not going to attend but my wife said I needed to as the topic was mobility solutions. As the Commander made introductions he stated our presenter was a former VFW auxillary president and current general manager of United Access in springfield mo.
I just want you to know that her speech was short and to the point. She ended with asking a question no one ever asks. She asked how can we help you. We asked her to stay until after our short meeting to answer questions. She said she would wait. She answered question after question. My fourth encounter was the very next day at MRC in mt. Vernon. You are probably asking why I am writing all of this well it came down to a facebook post by another employee Laura Klaus. Someone made a comment that she needs to get a life instead of working all the time. Her response explained why I saw Alice and United Access every day for 4 days. Their devotion to your company can only be a reflection on what a great company you have created for people like me. It is hard to be disabled and have people look at you with pity. I can see in the people who work for your company they want to help not pity. That is rare and I for one will be getting my new truck conversion through United Access

good) and describing anything that he needed to repair or fix or adjust, answering our questions, and asking us if there were any particular concerns or problems we were having or anything else we needed him to look into while we were there. I just had to write to tell you how much I appreciated the service I received having my lift put in my Honda. Working with Tom was great! He was very respectful, pleasant and very caring. Since he didn't live too far from my home, he offered to pick up my car and take it to United Access to have the lift put in and then he returned it to me. The gate at UA accidentally closed on my rear bumbper causing some paint to come off. Tom was very apologetic and said United Access would take care of it and would provide me with a vehicle for the time it was reparied. Again, he picked up my car and returned it to my house when it was finished. He completely relieved any stress I might have felt! Having MS, it meant so much to me that he was able to help me. I am truly thankful to him and very impressed with him and with United Access.
I will definitely be referring my MS friends to United Access if they have any modification needs.

If you recall, I rented one of your accessible vans back in August to take my Mom about town for her 86th birthday. We did it ALL: went to her favorite restaurants, by the old neighborhoods, to the cememtary, had two birthday lunches and dinners with family, went to the mall, and had Dairy Queen when it was 102 degrees in St. Louis. She so enjoyed being mobile again, even though she was confined to her wheelchair. Sadly, Mom passed away 10 days after her 86th birthday. My sister says I killed her by overdoing it! My pastoral associate, Sister Noreen, says I took her on her final pilgrimage to all the places she loved with all the people she loved. I don't know which one is right, but I know I would not change a minute of it. What a gift you made available to us - a van that Mom could ride in! I miss her every day, but I know she is in a better place.
I cannot thank you enough for providing this service. I tell everyone about your service in hopes that they can take advantage of United Access if/when they need you. God Bless you!

I am Gene Roberts, the Assistant Operations Manager for Express Medical Transporters of New Mexico, Las Cruces office. Last Thursday, Tim Martinez, out of your El Paso location, conducted a training session for some of my Independent Contractors. He demonstrated use of the power-lift and how to secure a wheelchair while on the lift. He also showed us how to move the wheelchair from the lift into the vehicle and then how to secure the wheelchair to the vehicle floor.
Tim's instruction was precise and informative and he demonstrated a particular high level of expertise on the type of lift used in our vehicles, especially in regards to it's maintenance requirements and capabilities.
I appreciate the time Tim was able to take for us and for a job well done. I have thanked him personally, but I also wanted to pass my thanks on to you as well. Thank you.

I appreciate the fact that you are keeping me informed as to the progress of your efforts. Your obvious professionalism and communication skills are a true asset and I saw evidence of such in the way I was treated as a new customer. Justin's attentiveness and willingness to help, Tommy's friendliness and responsiveness, and of course Anthony's hospitality and concern for our comfort in providing the drinks were all greatly appreciated.
My 10-year old granddaughter Andrea said, "Grandma, this is a nice place. They gave us drinks and we didn't even have to ask for them." I realized too late to ask the name of the other gentleman who actually performed some mechanical diagnostics. He displayed the same professionalism as did you all. I am comfortable for the first time with trusting the care of my mobility needs with a company who seems both well-quipped and eager to serve me. I hope Glenn and the other great VA people have more dealings with you and companies such as yours. Their jobs will be much easier and their clients will, of course, be more contented.

TI waited 17 years for Aug 22, 2012. The freedom of being able to take myself anywhere I could think of was unimaginable. It was a day full of excitement for me, plus my wife and kids. I barley slept the night before filled with anxiety and anticipation of becoming more independent. The process was long, involved many days of waiting and lots for forms to sign..lol. But, when it was all said and done, and the keys were put in my hands finally to drive my new sidekick home for the first time, boy was I relieved! I was like, 'its actually happening!'. I drove all over the place, calling everyone I knew who had been helping me keep count of the days gone by when I'd be driving myself. The first night I got my truck, I took my wife to get her favorite ice cream, that made me feel like a real gentleman.
A week ago, I drove myself to the barbershop for the first time on my own, it was an exciting feeling like no other. But when I drove my kids to school and daycare, that made me the proudest person in the world. Being able to contribute with driving, has truly been a blessing to my family, and most of all myself. Many thanks to DARS and last but not least, Sam Brenner and her amazing team at United Access. Great job guys. I will be forever grateful! I absolutely love my new truck!!

We attended the support group meeting and met Alice. She has attended our support group meetings every month offering support and valued information. At the recent ALS walk we had the pleasure of meeting Jerry. My husband recently passed away and at the memorial there was Alice not just representing United Access but as a valued friend. I have been very pleased with United Access in Columbia. They have given me great service - even trying to assist with repair by phone when we were 900 miles away. I tried another company to repair it - $400 later and several trips there I still had a useless scooter lift. When we were back in MO we returned to United Access - as usual they took great care of us and installed a great new lift for me. I won't use any other company again if I can possibly help it!! I want to thank Alan Brown and all the wonderful people over at United Access. They installed a Bruno curb side lift in my Kia Sedona van a few weeks ago. It has made my life easier, I used a wheelchair before. I had to lift it in an out, friends would be nice and push me around. It is nice to be free and do it yourself. Allen even came over and pickedup my power chair and took it to the shop when they installed the lift. Now with the push of the remote I am on my way. United Access has become the lifeline for my Son Martin and our family.We have always been challenged with how to transport Marty becuse he has cerebal palsey and is in a wheel chair.He recently was given the oppurtuinty to attend Camp.We had no clue of how we would get him there.The camp is about 5 hours away,I recieved a call from (Mary)who is an awesome staff member at U.A.,telling me that my Son was selected to recieve an accessible vehicle.Now Marin can make is camping trip comfortable and safe.
