Jenny Nordine, with 15 years of experience in acute care and rehabilitation-based Occupational Therapy, had a strong desire to develop a driving program that promotes the highest level of independence. In 2000, she turned this passion into Driving to Independence, a program dedicated to ensuring that drivers across Arizona are both safe and self-sufficient. Recognizing the vital role driving plays in daily life, Jenny and her team work tirelessly to equip each driver with the necessary skills for safe and independent travel. She has been an influential leader within the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists, holding various committee memberships and chairmanship positions. From 2014 to 2019, she served on the Board of Directors, including terms as president in 2015 and 2018. Currently, she chairs the Leadership Development Committee, continuing her commitment to advancing driver rehabilitation.

After a motorcycle accident in 2007 left him paralyzed, he shifted his focus to disability advocacy, co-founding the Kansas City chapter of United Spinal Association and engaging in advocacy at local, state, and federal levels. He has served on disability committees in both Kansas City and Oklahoma City.Since joining United Access in 2018, Adam has assisted customers in navigating financial assistance and accessibility options. Outside of work, he is an active yoga instructor, weightlifter, and enjoys spending time with his service dog, Graham. His passions include handcycling, exploring new restaurants, and watching movies.

Vocational Rehabilitation - What It Is and How It Works

VR can help customers purchase or modify a vehicle to make it more accessible. This service is only available after other transportation options have been explored and it's determined to be the most appropriate and cost-efficient option. The vehicle modification process includes evaluation, training, vehicle selection, installation, and delivery.  VR’s vary by state, this presentation is a general view of the process.
